Privacy policy

This privacy policy applies to Avent Digital AS (org no. 915 920 934) and avent.no. We process personal data in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act and the GDPR. Last updated: 10 July 2026.

01

Data controller

Avent Digital AS (org. no. 915 920 934), Strandgata, 6900 Florø, Norway, is the data controller for personal data processed via avent.no. Contact: kontakt@avent.no or +47 47 28 30 01.

02

What personal data we process

When you submit the contact form, we process your name, email address, phone number (optional), the content of your message and the time it was sent. For ordinary visits, IP address and technical data are processed briefly in our hosting provider's operational logs. If you consent to analytics, usage patterns on the site (clicks, scrolling and page views) are additionally processed via Microsoft Clarity.

03

Free visibility analysis and guides

If you use the free visibility analysis, we process your email address, the web address you provide and the result, in order to send you the report and follow up (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). If you request a free guide by email, we process your email address to send it. The data is not used for newsletters or other marketing without separate consent, and is deleted in periodic reviews, at the latest 12 months after last contact.

04

Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, we process your email address based on consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), confirmed via double opt-in. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

05

Purpose and legal basis

The data is used to answer and follow up your enquiry. The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (steps prior to entering into a contract) and 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Usage analytics only happens with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — and consent can be withdrawn at any time. We do not send newsletters or marketing without separate consent.

06

Data processors and sharing

We do not sell or share your data, but use data processors for operations: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email notification of enquiries), Bunny.net (video delivery) and Microsoft (Clarity — usage analytics, only after your consent). Data processing agreements are in place with these providers. Data is otherwise only disclosed where required by law.

07

Transfers outside the EEA

Some providers may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on a valid transfer mechanism: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

08

Retention

Enquiries are stored until handled and deleted in periodic reviews, at the latest 12 months after last contact — unless the dialogue leads to a client relationship. In that case, necessary information is stored for the duration of the relationship, and accounting records per the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act.

09

Cookies

avent.no sets no cookies for ordinary visitors unless you consent. On your first visit you get a choice: if you accept, Microsoft Clarity is used to analyse how the site is used — Clarity then sets cookies such as _clck, _clsk and MUID (lifetime from one day to 13 months). If you decline, no tracking loads. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookies” at the bottom of the page. Strictly necessary login cookies are only set when signing in to the administration tool.

10

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Contact us at kontakt@avent.no — we respond without undue delay and within 30 days at the latest.

11

Complaints

If you believe we process personal data in breach of the rules, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no). We appreciate you contacting us first so we can put things right.
